        About the branch

        Comhaltas Glinnte Aontroma

The Glens of Antrim Comhaltas branch promotes the playing of traditional Irish music, singing, dancing and storytelling in the Glens. We organise and deliver music lessons for learners of all ages and abilities.

Every Friday and Sunday there are sessions in the local area where musicians and singers socialise and practise their tunes in an informal setting.

We are keen to build links with the wider community. Trips and functions through the year give branch musicians the chance to play together outside the Glens, raising the branch's profile and, on occasion, money for charity.

The branch is affiliated to the Antrim County Board, the Ulster Council of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and the national organisation in Dublin.

        1. 1986Branch formed as the Cushendall branch, since a Glens of Antrim Comhaltas already existed in Carnlough.
        2. 1999Renamed Glinnte Aontroma, the Glens of Antrim.
        3. 2023Hosted the Antrim Fleadh, with a session trail, concerts and competitions.
